Sony a6300 LUT for Cine and Slog

A Preset for Color Grading

Posted by Florian Hoflehner on October 15, 2018

It can get a little frustrating trying to grade Slog footage without any Look Up Table. I tried to make a LUT without a specific look. I wanted them to be neutral. And because I really like how it turned out I decided to give it away for free.

Whats a LUT?

A LUT is basically a file which contains Information. This Information can then be translated by a program like Adobe Premiere Pro. It helps you to get a specific look. It's like a Lightroom Preset for Video editing.

You may notice Image Banding due to the heavy compression. a6300 footage, Cine 4 a6300 footage, Cine 4

The LUT I've created can be used on any type of Video. The LUT was tweaked in Photoshop using a frame grab as a reference. Minor Color Correction was added and voila. I mainly use it in Premiere with opacity turned down to 70%.
